  The Ice House has been a long time staple of Brownsville. Nested right on the outskirt rim of Brownsville, it used to be a weathered saloon styled establishment that was known as a hotspot where blue collar workers walked in with mud on their boots to go kickback some brews after work from down the road at the Port of Brownsville. In the last few years it has revamped its marketing strategy and its entire look. Now it has a hardy, modern, main stream ambiance that has attracted a youthful, wider local demographic. So much so, it is in the process of expanding itself again with outside seating, a stage, and a dance floor for concerts that are planned to be held in the back end of the Ice House. They have a few elaborate cocktails, don't forget to ask about em!

  I was walking in the door at 11:30 and was basically kicked out as soon as they saw us. Hours say closing time is 2 AM but they yelled "it's closed" very rudely as soon as we stepped in.

  Anything BBQ is great! Service could be faster, otherwise really good place to go.
